Offering new features and improved visual displays, Logicon Caries Detector 5.1 Software from Carestream Dental is designed to make it simpler for clinicians to diagnose dental caries.
New features include Doctor’s Diagnosis which allows clinicians to examine multiple potential carious sites on a single radiograph, and PreScan which scans an image and applies a detection algorithm for all interproximal surfaces to create a view of potential caries, according to a press release.
An additional software feature is an automatic sharpening filter to brighten enamel and make visualizing potential caries easier. With the ability to display everything on one image the software makes patient presentations simpler as well.
