Cloud-based dental patient communications platform Sesame Communications has been acquired by Internet Brands, an online media and software services company.
Sesame was a target for acquisition because its patient scheduling, appointment reminder, online bill pay and other patient engagement services are leaders in its category, according to a press release. While Sesame will continue to be run from its Seattle headquarters, it will be joining other company’s in Internet Brands’ healthcare portfolio including Officite, eDoctors, and TherapySites among others.
