Designed to capture optimal intraoral x-rays with the lowest possible radiation dosage, the X-Mind Unity x-ray generator and the integrated Sopix Inside digital sensor from ACTEON North America work together as a unified system.
The system’s patented ACE technology allows the x-ray generator to communicate with the integrated digital sensor in real time to provide the precise x-ray emission required for the image being captured, according to a press release. As soon as the image is captured in the sensor, the generator is instructed to stop emitting radiation, reducing radiation exposure to patients and staff. When combined with SOPRO IMAGING software, the system can even record the radiation dose used to capture each individual image.
The X-Mind Unity generator features a small focal spot and consistent voltage of either 60 or 70 kV to help it produce highly defined x-ray images. While it is designed to work with and communicate with the Sopix Inside sensor, the generator can be used with other sensors, film or phosphor plate systems.
