Configured for both wet and dry production of a range of dental materials, the inLab MC X5 dental lab mill from Sirona is a 5-axis, open-architecture solution.
Designed to meet both current and future needs of dental laboratories, the inLab MC X5 is the first open-architecture production system from Sirona, according to a press release. It is compatible with scanners and CAD/CAM software from Sirona as well as other manufacturers. The mill is compatible with STL data and can be added as a new milling solution to an existing system or combined with Sirona’s inEos X5 scanner and inLab software for a complete dental lab CAD/CAM solution from Sirona.
The milling system can automatically switch between dry and wet processing during a single production cycle. It is compatible with both carbide cutters and diamond grinders and accepts materials in 98.5 mm disks with heights up to 30 mm. It can process zirconia, polymers, composites, wax, glass ceramics, and hybrid ceramics, and can be prepared for metals as well.
