Alan Miller, the founder of AMD Lasers, recently repurchased his company from DENTSPLY International which had bought the company from Miller in 2011.
AMD Lasers, which stands for Alan Miller Designed, was founded in 2009 and makes the Picasso and Picasso Lite diode lasers which brought new economic price points to the dental diode laser market, according to a press release. The move to take the company private again was official Aug. 1, and Miller plans to continue to focus on innovative dental lasers, clinical education and customer support.
