Neodent USA plans to put up a fight against Nobel Biocare’s recently filed patent infringement lawsuit.
The suit alleges that Neodent USA’s Drive CM dental implants infringe on patented technology used in Nobel Biocare’s NobelActive implants, but Neodent is confident that its products respect all valid patents, according to a press release. Among the differences the company cites is the Drive CM’s innovative connection. Neodent USA also believes the patents Nobel Biocare is using in its complaint were obtained after the Drive CM product was launched in the United States in March.
In his company’s press release announcing its planned response to the Nobel Biocare suit, Neodent USA CEO Tony Susino said the fact that the Drive CM implant is attracting a legal challenge shows that Nobel Biocare views his company’s implants as an attractive alternative option for clinicians.
