Diatech Offers Lifesaving Technology with HeartSine samaritan® PAD 350P
Charleston, S.C. – Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) continues to be the leading cause of death globally, and response time is critical to survival. Now, Diatech is offering the compact HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P, a public access defibrillator with CPR coaching, as part of its line of exceptional quality products.
The samaritan PAD 350P is designed especially for use in public areas by providing a sophisticated defibrillator for adult or pediatric use. The samaritan PAD 350P is portable, and at approximately 2.4 pounds, it is 28 percent to 56 percent smaller than other defibrillators. It resists shock and vibration and carries an IP56 rating, the industry’s highest rating against dust and moisture ingress. It also carries a 10-year unit warranty.
“With time being such a critical factor in surviving SCA, the easy-to-operate and easy-to-carry HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P is a lifesaver, pure and simple,” said Alicia Oliver, Diatech president. “Its advanced technology and convenient size make it a perfect fit for Diatech’s continued commitment to providing the highest quality and reliable product line.”
Utilizing advanced technology, the device runs on proprietary electrode technology, advanced and stable firmware and proprietary SCOPETM (Self-Compensating Output Pulse Envelope) biphasic technology (an escalating and low-energy waveform that automatically adjusts for patient impedance differences) to assess rhythm and recommend defibrillation if necessary. SCOPE runs on technology that automatically compensates energy, slope and pulse envelope for the patient.
The samaritan PAD 350P features easy-to-understand visual and voice prompts, including CPR coaching, that guide a user through the process. The visual cues include pad placement, instruction to stand clear of the patient and notice of when it is safe to touch the patient. With only two buttons – an on/off switch and SHOCK – operation is straightforward. In addition, there is a System Status Ready Indicator light that flashes to show the system is completely operational and ready for use. The device automatically runs self-checks each week.
The Pad-PakTM cartridge contains two parts: a battery and electrode pads with only one expiration date to monitor. The cartridge has a shelf life of four years from date of manufacture, offering significant savings over other defibrillators that require separate battery and pad units.
The HeartSine PAD’s built-in intelligence and unique pediatric Pad-Pak ensure the appropriate energy level is delivered for children.
