New Dental Products: Imprint 4 Preliminary and Imprint 4 Bite VPS Impression Materials from 3M ESPE

Designed to provide highly accurate impressions and efficient clinical workflows, 3M ESPE Imprint 4 Preliminary VPS Preliminary Impression Material and 3M ESPE Imprint 4 Bite VPS Bite Registration Material are the newest additions to 3M ESPE’s Imprint 4 product line.

Available in both Super Quick and Regular setting times, Imprint 4 Preliminary VPS is an efficient alternative to alginates for provisional workflows. Compatible with the 3M ESPE Pentamix System, Imprint 4 Preliminary offers consistent, void-free mixes and a one minute working time and 90 second set time for the Super Quick formula, according to a press release.

Imprint 4 Preliminary creates impressions that provide long-term dimensional stability for multiple model pours even after disinfection, and the hydrophilic material allows models to be poured without the need for pre-treating the impression.

Imprint 4 Bite can be used for open and closed bite registrations, and it can be delivered directly to the patient’s mouth from a common hand dispenser. Offering ideal flow consistency without slumping, the material does not lock into undercuts and interdental spaces. After setting the bite registrations are easy to trim and position. With a 20 second working time and 60 second set time, the material is highly efficient.
