Suitable for use with both direct and indirect bonding techniques, Adhese Universal from Ivoclar Vivadent is a single component, light-cured dental adhesive that forms a strong bond with a range of restorative dental materials.
Available in a VivaPen which simplifies intraoral application, Adhese Universal features a low film thickness, is moisture tolerant, and is slightly acidic, making it compatible with the self-etch, selective-etch and total-etch techniques, according to a press release. With an acetone-free, hydrophilic solvent in its formula, Adhese Universal provides optimal wetting of both dentin and enamel to seal dentinal tubules and prevent microleakage and sensitivity.
Each VivaPen contains 2 ml of Adhese Universal which is approximately 190 single-tooth applications. The material also is available in a conventional bottle.
