LED Dental’s new imaging division LED Imaging has partnered with Ray Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Samsung and will now sell, install and support Ray’s RAYSCAN α – Expert, a 3D imaging system with panoramic and cephalometric capabilities.
Ray Co. is the first partner for LED Imaging, and this marks Samsung’s first move into the dental imaging market in the United States, according to a press release.
The RAYSCAN α – Expert is a dental cone beam imaging system with a 9 x 9 cm field of view well suited to a range of clinical imaging situations. The system uses a CMOS sensor to capture 16-bit DICOM images with low radiation exposure for patients, and a denoising technology to enhance image quality. The intuitive user interface and small system footprint make the RAYSCAN α – Expert a good fit for a range of dental practices. The system works with Xelis 3D Imaging Software which includes an implant planning module.
