Designed to help clinicians solve dental implant challenges in both the anterior and the posterior, Nobel Biocare’s new Angulated Screw Channel (ASC) abutment and Omnigrip tooling work together to make implants easier to restore.
The combination of the two innovations helps create restorative possibilities when buccal screw access holes would limit options as well as difficult posterior cases when there is a lack of vertical space, according to a press release. Available in zirconia for Nobel Biocare implants with a conical connection, the abutment can feature an angulated screw channel of up to 25 degrees from the axis of the implant. The Omnigrip tooling uses a friction based pick up function that grips the screw at a wide range of angles and helps keep the screw in position until it is properly threaded.
