Air Techniques recently announced that all of the company’s remote water control valve components are in full compliance with the 2014 Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act.
The law which went into effect on Jan. 4, 2014 requires every pipe, fixture and fitting used to convey potable water contain less than 0.25% of lead by weight. The Air Techniques remote water control valve is made up of all lead-free components, according to a press release. The company’s connections are either threaded or feature mechanically press pipe with an O-ring seal, so there are no soldered connections.
