3D Systems Launches Bespoke Modeling Cloud Based 3D Printing Service

3D Systems has launched Bespoke Modeling, a cloud-based service for converting DICOM data into 3D printed anatomic models for education and training purposes.

The new online service allows dentists and other medical professionals to upload DICOM data from digital imaging systems such as dental cone beam scanners. The data is then converted into 3D anatomical models that can be viewed and shared online or a full-color 3D printed version of the model can be ordered, according to a press release.

The site is designed to provide patient-specific 3D models in both digital and physical formats. DICOM data uploaded to the site can have bookmarked views, annotations and can then be printed for use in teaching or patient education. The printed models feature bone-like properties and they can be realistically sawed or drilled.

Bespoke Modeling is compatible with major web browsers and mobile operating systems. A subscription to the service starts at $30 per month with additional costs for printed models. Visit www.3DSystems.com/Bespokemodeling for more information.
