 Straumann Touts Two Studies Demonstrating High Survival Rates for its Dental Implants

A pair of clinical studies looking at the effectiveness of Straumann’s dental implant systems found survival rates of more than 98 percent, which outperforms other published data showing a 95.5 implant survival rate for all implant systems.

The studies were conducted in universities and dental clinics in Europe, the United States and Australia. The first study, a randomized controlled clinical trial, looked at 3-year survival rates for 106 Straumann implant and found just one failure and average bone loss of approximately 0.7 mm, according to a press release.

The second study was  non-interventional study conducted with 908 dental implants placed in 538 patients around the globe. This study found a 98.5 percent survival rate after one year with minimal bone loss.
