A Pair of CDT Code Books Updated for 2014 Now Available from the American Dental Association

The American Dental Association has released a pair of updated dental coding books designed to help dental professionals stay up to speed on the proper CDT codes to use for billing dental procedures.

CDT 2014 Dental Procedure Codes contains the up to date Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature which is used for recording dental services in patient records and on both paper and electronic insurance claim forms. The ADA worked with The American Association of Endodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists to update those sections of the codes, according to a press release. The spiral bound book which includes a searchable CD-ROM is available for $39.95 to ADA members and for $59.95 for non-members.

Also available is Dental Coding Made Simple: Resource Guide and Training Manual, 2013-2014 which is designed to help dental professionals understand the coding system and how to properly use the CDT codes. The book features coding exercises and a continuing education exam for 5 CE credits. It is available for $49.95 for ADA members, and for $74.95 for non-members.

Both books are available together as a kit for $75 for ADA members and $112.50 for non-members. The books can be purchased at adacatalog.org.
