 DENTSPLY Implants Announces Product Upgrades, Innovations at IDS

During the recently concluded International Dental Show in Cologne, Germany, DENTSPLY Implants announced a number of expanded product lines, partnerships and new innovations coming to the global dental market.

Enhancements to existing products include the 2in1 product added to the company’s ATLANTIS ISUS implant suprastructures that provides double construction with a conical friction fit and a design based on the tooth set up, according to a press release. Also a new 6.6 mm version of the ANKYLOS Implant is available allowing uses of the system in areas with less available bone, and platform switching is now approved for the XiVE implant system.

An expanded collaboration means users of 3Shape scanners around the globe can send scan data to the ATLANTIS design and manufacturing facilities for custom abutment fabrication. Also the updated SimPlant 15 software and SimPlant GO software platforms are designed make surgical planning a simpler process.

The new WeldOne concept for immediate loading of implants is designed to allow clinicians to create temporary as well as durable restorations reinforced by titanium frameworks welded directly in the mouth. The concept will work with the ANKYLOS and XiVE implant systems.
