New PreviDent® 5000 Booster Plus Delivers Unsurpassed Remineralization1
New York, N.Y. – Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive Company, introduces Colgate® PreviDent® 5000 Booster Plus, the latest addition to the prescription-only PreviDent® home fluorides portfolio.
Colgate® PreviDent® 5000 Booster Plus is ideal for high-risk caries patients2 as dental caries remains the most common chronic disease globally.3 Colgate® PreviDent® 5000 Booster Plus contains 1.1% sodium fluoride (5,000 ppm), FluoriGard™ technology and tricalcium phosphate. The new formula with FluoriGard™ technology has been shown in in vitro pH cycling studies to provide better remineralization after 10 days and unsurpassed remineralization after 20 days versus 3M Clinpro® 5000 toothpaste.1
FluoriGard™ technology is an optimized fluoride delivery system that produces a temporary shift in pH, a condition that favors remineralization and fluoride uptake in the oral cavity. In vitro studies show Colgate® PreviDent® 5000 Booster Plus delivers an 86% improvement in enamel fluoride uptake versus the prior Colgate® PreviDent® 5000 Booster formula.4
