VITA Clinical Specialists Travel to Germany for Hands-On Enamic Hybrid Ceramic Training

To support the recent launch of the company’s new Enamic hybrid dental ceramic, VITA’s North American clinical specialists made a trip the company’s headquarters in Bad Säckingen, Germany to receive hands-on training with the material.

Enamic features a dual network structure that incorporates the best properties of both ceramics and composites, according to a press release. The training in Germany focused on the polishing, staining and glazing techniques for using the material which is currently available for use with Sirona’s CEREC and inLab CAD/CAM systems.

The specialists attended lectures from CEREC clinicians and technicians who shared case results from using the material that reportedly mills quickly with reduced tool wear. Additionally because a CEREC Master Training Course was taking place at the same time, a translator helped the North American specialists learn the advanced techniques for using Enamic that were being taught.
