In all-cash transaction, national dental products and services distributor Patterson Dental recently acquired regional dental products distribution company Iowa Dental Supply (IDS). Serving practices in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Missouri and Illinois with 11 sales representatives and equipment specialists, IDS brought in approximately $13 million in sales last year.
According to a press release, Patterson plans to quickly integrate IDS into its business. IDS President Rick Cacciatore will take on the role of North Central Region Manager for Patterson, replacing Rich Kochmann who is retiring.
“We are excited to have Iowa Dental join the Patterson Dental organization. IDS will strengthen the competitive position of Patterson Dental in several of our midwestern markets. This is an extremely well-managed business,” Patterson Dental President Paul A. Guggenheim stated in the press release.
