Microsurgical mirrors are used during endodontic mircosurgery to view into hard to reach areas. These mirrors are designed at a much smaller size than typical dental mirrors because they are used in such small places. Microsurgical mirrors are generally fabricated from stainless steel and should be fully autoclavable. Different styles, sizes, and shapes of mirror heads are available for microsurgical mirrors and some even feature interchangeable heads that can be attached to specialized handles. Any practice performing endodontic microsurgery should have a supply of microsurgical mirrors on hand.
