Investment Materials

Dental investment materials are used to encase the wax designed for the lost wax casting technique. These materials are usually available as a powder that is mixed with water and then used to encase the wax design. These materials solidify and can withstand the heat of the casting furnace to hold the precise shape left behind when the wax is burned out. Different gypsums are designed for use with different dental alloys or other materials, so be sure to select the proper gypsum for the case at hand.

DescriptionThe principal ingredient, CRISTOBALITE, gives high thermal expansion, even at comparatively low temperatures. It is possible to use the same creamy CERA-FINA is a carbon-free phosphate investment developed for professionals who demand a more finely grained investment. It is designed for use with FASTFIRE 15 is a fine grain phosphate investment which requires only a 15 minute benchset before placing molds into a hot oven for rapid burnout. It Designed for burning out printed or milled resin patterns for crowns, bridges, or frameworks, ResinVest is a fiber-reinforced material that resists One of the most useful and efficient laboratory materials available today, V.H.T. is an extremely fine-grained phosphate investment with an ample
