Lab Gypsum Materials

Dental lab gypsum materials are used to create highly accurate model from a physical impression of a patient's teeth. The models are fabricated by pouring the gypsum material into the impression and allowing it to harden. There are a wide range of gypsums used in dentistry with different properties depending on how the models will be used. Some gypsums are ideal for use in sectioned models and dies, others are designed to be scanned for use in CAD/CAM dentistry, while other model materials are designed for use in vacuum-forming orthodontic appliances, mouth guards or other appliances. It is important to be sure your gypsum is properly set and be sure to properly label your models and dies so they stay with the correct case.

DescriptionSNAP-STONE is an exceptionally fast setting stone with an early high compressive strength, which allows separation of the cast from the impression in JADE STONE stacks well after mixing yet flows readily under the least vibration. Popular for its smooth jade-like surface, high strength and low LeanRock is formulated specifically for laboratories who want to pour small batches (about 6) and have working models ready in 15 minutes. This PRIMA-ROCK has the highest compressive strength of any Whip Mix die material. Vacuum spatulation provides a smooth mix which flows readily. It's QUICKSTONE is an economical dental stone with consistent handling properties. Its smooth creamy mix makes it ideal for a variety of lab procedures.
