Lab Gypsum Materials

Dental lab gypsum materials are used to create highly accurate model from a physical impression of a patient's teeth. The models are fabricated by pouring the gypsum material into the impression and allowing it to harden. There are a wide range of gypsums used in dentistry with different properties depending on how the models will be used. Some gypsums are ideal for use in sectioned models and dies, others are designed to be scanned for use in CAD/CAM dentistry, while other model materials are designed for use in vacuum-forming orthodontic appliances, mouth guards or other appliances. It is important to be sure your gypsum is properly set and be sure to properly label your models and dies so they stay with the correct case.

DescriptionSILKY-ROCK is characterized by exceptional hardness and density throughout, and an unusual "silky-smooth" pouring quality that makes it flow freely An extremely fast setting stone for use in mounting casts, and locking gnathological instruments into position. Free flow is held to a minimum in thisFlowstone FS sets 50% faster than typical stone products. Early high strength allows separation from base mold in 15 minutes. Use Flowstone FS with FLOWSTONE produces accurate, bubble-free bases without vibration, making it ideal for use with base formers. Its extended working time allows the ResinRock is a resin fortified die stone produces models of the highest quality. The unique blend of synthetic resin and alpha gypsum results in
