Lab Gypsum Materials

Dental lab gypsum materials are used to create highly accurate model from a physical impression of a patient's teeth. The models are fabricated by pouring the gypsum material into the impression and allowing it to harden. There are a wide range of gypsums used in dentistry with different properties depending on how the models will be used. Some gypsums are ideal for use in sectioned models and dies, others are designed to be scanned for use in CAD/CAM dentistry, while other model materials are designed for use in vacuum-forming orthodontic appliances, mouth guards or other appliances. It is important to be sure your gypsum is properly set and be sure to properly label your models and dies so they stay with the correct case.

DescriptionRESINROCK XL5 has the same smoothness and high abrasion as in ResinRock. However, this ISO Type 5 die stone gives you increased expansion to Flowstone FS sets 50% faster than typical stone products. Early high strength allows separation from base mold in 15 minutes. Use Flowstone FS with JADE STONE stacks well after mixing yet flows readily under the least vibration. Popular for its smooth jade-like surface, high strength and low ResinRock is a resin fortified die stone produces models of the highest quality. The unique blend of synthetic resin and alpha gypsum results in SILKY-ROCK is characterized by exceptional hardness and density throughout, and an unusual "silky-smooth" pouring quality that makes it flow freely
