Lab Gypsum Materials

Dental lab gypsum materials are used to create highly accurate model from a physical impression of a patient's teeth. The models are fabricated by pouring the gypsum material into the impression and allowing it to harden. There are a wide range of gypsums used in dentistry with different properties depending on how the models will be used. Some gypsums are ideal for use in sectioned models and dies, others are designed to be scanned for use in CAD/CAM dentistry, while other model materials are designed for use in vacuum-forming orthodontic appliances, mouth guards or other appliances. It is important to be sure your gypsum is properly set and be sure to properly label your models and dies so they stay with the correct case.

DescriptionResinRock is a resin fortified die stone produces models of the highest quality. The unique blend of synthetic resin and alpha gypsum results in Lean Rock XL5, ISO Type 5 die stone, offers increased expansion to compensate for shrinkage of vinyl polysiloxane and other rubber-based impression A very hard, fast setting gypsum material formulated expressly for mounting casts to articulators. Its very low setting expansion prevents PRIMA-ROCK has the highest compressive strength of any Whip Mix die material. Vacuum spatulation provides a smooth mix which flows readily. It's SNAP-STONE is an exceptionally fast setting stone with an early high compressive strength, which allows separation of the cast from the impression in
