Single wheel dental model trimmers may feature a reversible wheel, a carborundum side, and a diamond side. A diamond wheel is extremely hard and may last 2 to 5 years depending on use. When choosing a dental model trimmer, be sure to choose a vendor that stands behind their product. This will be a well-used piece of equipment and buying it from a vendor offering a 5 or 10-year warranty can provide substantial piece of mind.
