In online publishing there’s never an end to the work we do. Dentalcompare is always growing with new and improved content, and changing with improvements that we hope make your experiences on our site more rewarding. Some are behind the scenes tweaks while other improvements are front and center such as the debut of new content formats like the Buyers Guides we launched late last year.
The team behind Dentalcompare is dedicated to constantly improving what we do and how we do it in order to provide you with the most comprehensive and useful online dental product resource.
A recent enhancement has me very excited. It was a minor change, but I hope it can have a major impact because it was about making sure the amazing dental professionals who contribute articles to Dentalcompare are recognized for their efforts. The change is the addition of an author picture next to their byline and a more obvious “About the Author” link to take you to that contributor’s biography page.
The author bio pages have always been there. In the past they were linked just from the author’s name, and I’d heard from some contributors and readers that this link was not obvious. So we revised our site just a bit to address this shortcoming. These bio pages not only tell you a bit about our authors, but they let you know how to contact them directly, and they contain links to other articles they’ve published on Dentalcompare.
These pages may seem like a small thing, but it’s important to me that our authors are recognized for their contributions. There’s a doctor, hygienist, office manager, assistant, or other dental industry expert behind every review, case study and Buyers Guide we publish, and each of them has dedicated time to share these cases, commentaries, tips, advice and opinions.
The best part is that these contributors don’t belong to some exclusive club. There’s always room for more dental product information on Dentalcompare. If you want to share your opinion with a review of the latest addition to your practice, a walkthrough of a clinical technique you use all the time, or a description of an amazing case you just completed, we’d love to build a bio page for you.
