Got an extra $20,000 or so sitting around? Are you a big fan of both space memorabilia and dental oddities?

If so, you’ll want to move fast and bid big to make sure you can take home this toothbrush that astronaut Buzz Aldrin took with him and used on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.

Heritage Auctions is currently taking online bids on the light blue Lactona s-19 model “Tooth Tip” toothbrush that Aldrin used throughout the historic mission. The auction description makes sure to mention that the brush was used while the Lunar Module Eagle was on the moon, so you can be comfortable in the knowledge that this toothbrush didn’t just leave the Earth’s orbit, but was actually on the moon while Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were taking their giant leaps.

The brush comes with its original plastic storage pouch and the Velcro tab on the back used to hold it in place while weightless in space. It also comes with a letter from Aldrin verifying that this was his toothbrush and he used it while on the moon, making it one of just two brushes to go to the moon in 1969. Its condition is listed as, “Signs of use, otherwise very fine condition” which seems about right for a 44-year-old toothbrush that’s literally been to the moon and back.

If you’ve got the extra cash, this could make quite an impact piece in a practice waiting room. The live auction is scheduled for April 18, so get those online bids in now and start dreaming of where you’ll show off this piece of dental and space history.
