Dentalcompare Blog: Introducing Dentalcompare Buyers Guides

Helping you find the right dental products for your practice is the heart of our mission at Dentalcompare, and we’re always working to add new and better resources. Whether making sure the product listings in the Dentalcompare Directory are as accurate and comprehensive as possible, or changing look and feel of the website itself in order to make it easier for you to find what you need, we never stop upgrading  and improving.

The new Dentalcompare Buyers Guide features represent our latest upgrade. Designed to provide a quick overview of a product category, these guides highlight key details you need to decide if you need something new, and if so, how to figure out which option is the best fit to enhance the dentistry you provide.

We did a soft launch of this format with the Digital X-Ray Buyers Guide just before the holidays, and today we added a Buyers Guide for Dental Operatory Lights. More guides are on the way with one more this month, and then a new guide each month from then on. Every product category is different, so no two guides will be exactly alike, but here are the common features you can expect to find in every Dentalcompare Buyers Guide:

  • An introduction explaining why this product can be an important asset to a practice, or providing details about the technology or science powering the category.
  • The “What I Need to Know Section” of quick hitting bullet points nailing down the key details about this technology, material or other practice tool.
  • The “Questions to Ask” is a takeaway of key things you might want to ask the vendors you talk to about their products in this category.
  • Definitions of key terms, acronyms and other jargon associated with these products.
  • A link to this product category in the Dentalcompare Product Directory so you can quickly see and compare every available option.
  • The 5 most popular products in the category based by how many people are viewing those products in the Dentalcompare Product Directory. These products will be updated each month based on the most recent traffic.

Additionally some Buyers Guides will include video overviews of the category and occasional graphics, sidebars and other details the clinician writing the guide felt were important.

Our goal with these guides is to provide information you can quickly digest to help make your search for the best product for your practice as simple and effective as possible. Let us know what you think of these new features, and of course tell us if there’s any way we can make them better.
