It seems Frontline’s recent episode (Dollars and Dentists) on the dental industry has stirred up a fair amount of debate in the dental community. Much of it has occurred online, appearing in everything from press releases to hometown newspaper stories.
Judging from a conversation we had at Chicago Midwinter back in February, dentists certainly feel strongly on the topic of dental care access in the United States. There have been a variety of opinions express on the topic and we have collected some of the stories below.
The important thing is that the conversation is occurring. The only way change can come about is if people are talking about it, which is exactly what Frontline accomplished. Everyone agrees there is an issue, the question is, how do we solve it?
