A Dental Office Saves a Life - Literally

A child’s heart stops, he is no longer breathing and like all parents, panic sets in – their first thought? Rush their 10 month old to their local dentist. In a massive stroke of luck, the entire dental office of Richard Flanagan and Associates had just taken CPR training the week before.  Once parents arrived at the office, the staff administered the life saving techniques they had learned just a few days earlier. They quite literally saved the child’s life while waiting for paramedics.

Many dental offices are the closest buildings with medial personal in them. This was obviously true for parents Agnes and Adrian when the instinct of saving their child kicked in. Thankfully there is a happy ending to this story, and a lesson for all medical professionals to be equipped for emergencies.

Are you prepared? We have a great Emergency Dental Equipment section, where you can find out more about Automated External Defibrillators and Emergency Kits.
